Jenni Kayne D'Orsay Flats (plus cheaper alternatives!)

I own about 4 pairs of D'orsay style shoes and have always loved the look, however, I didn't know the style name up until a few months ago (searching on F21 and found some great examples...more on this later!).  They just have a classic elegance, whether they are flats or heels, round or pointy toed-I have a weakness for all shapes and makes.  I especially like the flats in the summer as great work wear!

My absolute fave D'Orsay flats are 100% the ones offered by Jenni Kayne (available online here ).  I love that they come in almost every color imaginable, from bright and vibrant to understated and subdued.  They also come in different textures, such as leather, snakeskin, canvas and velvet!

While these beauties will set you back $425 and upwards, I think they would make a great addition to any flat-lovers collection. With that being said, they are out of my personal price range, so I have found some great, cheaper alternatives on the Forever 21 website!(purchase the first three D'Orsay flats here & the metallic D'Orsay Flats here )

I adore all of these BUT unfortunately, they are only availale on the US Forever 21 site right now.  I keep checking the Canadian site every day so that when they are available I can snatch some up.  Since I already have two pairs of black D'Orsay flats, I will opt for the Pink and the Metallic options for the coming season.  I wear a lot of neutrals and these would be great to add a pop of colour :)

After Much Time Away...I am BACK!

Well it has been quite some time but I should be able to write a few entries this month. My family and I have been going through some issues but it looks like everything is going to be ok so our family is thrilled!  Also, Work has been crazy and I have been travelling a lot, but I should be around for the next three months...THANK GOD.  It is nice that I get to travel around Canada, however, I rarely get to leave the place we have our event and it is quite exhausting (12 hour days with no breaks for 4 straight days...no bueno).  Anyways, the holidays are here and I am so excited! Christmas is my FAVE time of the year- I love everything about it; the smells, the lights, the music, ALL OF IT!!! Also, I recently joined the gym again and am starting to get back into a healthy lifestyle which, in all honesty, it is about time.  Happy to have some "me" time :)

Lucite, Glass and Acrylic Coffee Tables

I have lived in my current apartment now for over a year and still have not purchased a coffee table for my living room.  I really don't have a whole lot of space and  wasn't sure if I wanted a white frame with glass, or a silver frame with glass, all wood, etc, etc and everything I saw was either too chunky/bulky for the space, or just too pricey.

I've been searching and searching online and have finally found the solution; a see through coffee table! Whether it's glass, lucite or acrylic, they all have a really modern, clean look to them and the fact that you can see through them makes them ideal for a small space.

This one is actually glass which gives it a green cast

This is my personal fave

Obvioulsy, you would not have to limit yourself to just a coffee table, as there is a wide range of acrylic furniture, however, they can be very, very expensive. The option I am going to opt for is the CB2 Peekaboo Clear Coffee Table. The price is not ridiculous and I think it will be perfect for my space.  I'm going to pick it up this weekend when I get a moment! I'll be sure to post a photo of the new table once it's home.

Happy Friday!

This is probably an old one, but I haven't laughed so hard in a while.  Happy Friday!

OOTD: I am on a roll! LA Made Blouse with White Shorts

I finally found my Michael Kors watch! I was thinking that I had lost it, but when cleaning my bedroom, I found it behind me dreser.  I believe I may have come home a wee bit tipsy one night and tossed it a little too hard and it just fell right over.  Needless to say, I'm quite happy.

I have worn this blouse and necklace combo in another OOTD, but I really like the camo green color with the white shorts.  Very summery!

List:
Camo Green Sheer Blouse: Hautelook-LA Made
White Gap Shorts
Forever 21 Coin Bib Necklace
Michael kors Horn Watch
T Strap Sandals from Ebay

OOTD: Featuring H&M Forest Green Pants

I don't know why I decided to wear pants in the middle of the summer, but the green color was calling to me...and they are new so I couldn't help myself.  It's terrible but I miss fall colors...I'm a fan of dark colors, blazers and scarfs.

List:

H&M Forest Green Pants (new in stores, only $14 CDN!)
Forever 21 Green Ring
Forever 21 Pointed Round Bangle set
Zara Black Blouse
Old Navy Leopard Print T-Strap Sandals
Fossil Rose Gold Watch

OOTD: Zara Printed Floral Hipster Dress

This is a really cute 3/4 sleeve navy and floral dress I picked up a while back..its available at Zara right now for about $40 which is a steal.  Really cute 100% silk shift dress..regularly priced $120.  Has a cute ruffle like shoulder which is adorable (although hard to photograph).  I paired with a simple pearly ring from H&M and my Zara Vamp Jellies.

Perfect for work :)
